Write an essay of 400–450 words (2–2½ pages) on ONE of the following topics. Write down the NUMBER and TITLE/HEADING of your essay.

As a journalist, you have interviewed several homeless people. The man in the picture below has particularly interested you.
Write the conversation you had with him.

A person who has achieved prominence has been a victim of road rage and subsequently died.

2.3 INFORMAL LETTER
Using public transport, you recently returned from visiting relatives in another province/country. Upon your arrival at home, you realised that you had taken someone else's luggage. You found this person's address inside one of the suitcases.
With a view to finding a solution to the problem, write a letter to him/her.

An area in your province used to be considered dangerous. Within a few months, this image changed radically.
Write a newspaper article on this positive turnaround.

One of your prized possessions cannot be repaired because it is considered obsolete.
Write a letter to the manufacturer, expressing your displeasure with this situation.
