SUBJECT: ERRATA — CAT GRADE 12 (SEPTEMBER 2018)

The CAT P1 Grade 12 September was written on Monday, 27 August 2018. We were made aware of certain errors, amendments and omissions that were discovered during the marking process.
In order to address this and to ensure that learners are not disadvantaged, the following standardised approach to marking must be adopted across the Province. The following guidelines with regard to marking was prepared in conjunction with the examiner and moderator.

| 1.6 | Line spacing incorrect on memo — must be 1.15 |
| 1.9 | Accept any style if your version of Office does not have the option requested in the paper — Bullet nr. 3 on memo |
| 1.13 | Instructions were given to centre page numbering and later on to change to Odd and Even. Give all 6 marks if Odd and Even page numbers were correct. |
| 3.2 | Freeze panes: Headings were in Row 3, paper indicated Row 2. Accept freeze Row 2 or 3. |
| 3.8 | Accept Column N as well as Sum range (Prize Money) |
| 3.11 | Accept Column 0 as well: =Average(04:070) |
| 4.1.6 | Memo incorrect — R1 000 and NOT R10 000 |
| 5.5 | Correct picture (done already) — allocate the 1st mark if learner attempted the HTML question. |
| 5.6 | Colspan 3 (done in paper) — award last mark if a learner attempted the HTML question.(See the date saved and if there were any changes made to decide if the learner attempted the question.) |
